September 3-Into the Desert they Wandered

We've been grinding all week in the desert.

We didn't do much this week except for pound the pavement. Not much success but our hope is not lost. I love being able to talk to people at doors. I have been trying to get better at my door approaches and being less robotic. We were able to get a return appointment because I commented on a lady's cool toy story shirt. I have loved seeing Elder Loveland come out of his shell more and more. I believe that through all of our practice role plays we do with him he has learned so much.

We were able to go to the temple this week and it was a fantastic spiritual restart for me. I felt so great there and felt so many great spiritual promptings and revelation. I have a strong testimony of the Temple, I know that it is the house of the Lord.

In other news i finished the Book of Mormon in my personal study, I again felt of its truthfulness. One of my favorite scriptures towards the end of the Book of Mormon are Moroni 7:45-48

45 And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
46 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail—
47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.
48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

I love these scriptures because I believe that charity is the first attribute of Christ. It is an attribute that I have been striving for here on my mission. This attribute comes through sincere prayer and desire to be like Christ. I Know that Jesus Christ is my savior and has charity for all of us. Because of his Charity he suffered all sins and bled from every pore. I love the Savior so much and I strive to be more like him everyday.

Love,
Elder Judd
