August 27th-Great 2 weeks

Wow. I have had the best 2 weeks of my mission so far! Last Tuesday was my birthday, and it was a weird day for sure. A member took us to a fancy dinner and we drove in his new Tesla there. It was a great day, but its hard to celebrate your birthday when you are trying to serve and focus on helping others. Later in the week, I had another birthday dinner at the Clark family's house, probably the most genuine family I've ever met. They always show so much love to the missionaries who serve in that ward, I am really going to miss them. We started teaching a Columbian family that we helped move in and happened to live across the hall from us, talk about God putting people in our path. This family is spectacular. We taught them the restoration, the mom and dad only speak broken English, but were able to understand the majority of the lesson. The mom even read the introduction in Spanish and was blown away. January 17-Cruising on the Pacific Coast Highway

Family and friends! I love you all! This week we had a mission conference and it was awesome! Many of the trainings and talks were direct answers to my prayers. At the beginning of the conference, sister Clark handed us a small piece of paper and told us not to look at it. Then they went on to announce that the California Irvine mission is being dissolved before our the decrease of missionaries. When they announced it, my heart was broken. I love this mission. It is small and wonderful. Ask if our missionaries are obedient and hard working and great things have happened! Since the dinner cancellation or mission numbers have doubled some have tripled, why would they change this mission!? I was confused and sad, then we flipped the paper over and it said "Fear not, Only Believe". They were the same words the president Hinckley's dad told him before his mission. June 11-There can be miracles when you believe

I've had a wonderful week here in Newport Beach and experienced many miracles! On Tuesday we taught a single mother and her two young boys, they are starting to grasp more of what we are teaching them. One of the young boys is so excited to learn about the gospel, but the older one doesn't seem to care as much. We can tell that the mom really wants this for her boys. We also taught a lady who lives in "the gold mine", where most of our investigators are from, and she believes everything we teach her and wants to get baptized, but has no desire to come to church. so we're working on that.  On Thursday  we had zone conference which was awesome and got all of us super excited and inspired to work harder! They set a new goal of 1 baptism per companionship per transfer, and the whole mission is on fire now.  We did a little bit of tracting looking for a new gold mine or "gold mine 2.0" and we didn't find it, but what we did find is a lot of pe...
