August 27th-Great 2 weeks

Wow. I have had the best 2 weeks of my mission so far! Last Tuesday was my birthday, and it was a weird day for sure. A member took us to a fancy dinner and we drove in his new Tesla there. It was a great day, but its hard to celebrate your birthday when you are trying to serve and focus on helping others. Later in the week, I had another birthday dinner at the Clark family's house, probably the most genuine family I've ever met. They always show so much love to the missionaries who serve in that ward, I am really going to miss them. We started teaching a Columbian family that we helped move in and happened to live across the hall from us, talk about God putting people in our path. This family is spectacular. We taught them the restoration, the mom and dad only speak broken English, but were able to understand the majority of the lesson. The mom even read the introduction in Spanish and was blown away. April 1-Finding Fire

Man, it has been a crazy good week in San Clemente! Elder Esplin and I went on a super cool hike this morning right next to our apartment and saw the sun rise. Good vibes. We had a ton of amazing experiences this week. Here are a couple: 1. I gave my Brazilian friend a blessing. We hasn't been able to meet with them for a while so we just decided to stop by. When we came over, he told us how much he appreciates us and how they wish they could meet with us all the time. I could see how stressed he had been for a while now and I offered him a blessing and he accepted. I felt God's love for him as my hands were on his head. I have gained a strong testimony of the power of priesthood blessings. The spirit was very strong and afterwards I could see that he felt it. It was amazing giving blessings is one of my favorite parts of missionary work. I love this Family. 2. This week I have tried to give Elder Esplin more opportunities to contact and lead out. June 10-The town greeter came to town

I'm staying! transfer news came and I am staying here for another couple weeks! This transfer is going to be cut short because we get the new mission president and mission on July 1st. Elder Burrows and I just want to hit this awkward 3 week transfer hard! Had a lot of cool things happen this week! We thought we were gonna be white washed out of the area so we did all we could to progress all the people we are working with. We really tried to get as hard as we could to get them all to church. On Sunday morning we thought we were going to have 4 people come to church but by the time sacrament started only 1 showed up! She is the sweetest old lady I've ever met. She is what some would an "eternigator" she has been taght by the missionaries since the dawn of time. She loves the church, she loves the members, she loves the activities, but has never been to church.
